“The Toby Dance” is a lively summer song that draws inspiration from local beach vibes.
Modus Flow and team, Tailor Made a Music and Visual Product to meet the marketing initiative of Spectrum Resorts luxury property, The Beach Club Resort and Spa. We had a blast making this project!
Spectrum Resorts wanted to promote their Summer Camp and Kids Club at their beautiful, luxury, beach front property in Gulf Shores. We were blessed and hired to meet their goals and crafted the perfect audio/visual experience, The Toby Dance.
Produced and mixed by Anthony Navarro and his team at Modus Flow Recording Studio in Pensacola, FL, the song went through six different iterations before landing on its final version.
To create the perfect sound, Anthony and his team utilized Reggaeton kicks, snares, Latin/Caribbean style percussion, analog synths, a custom made watery turtle-flap sound, and Anthony’s signature “punchy” bass guitar sound.
It features powerful, energy commanding vocal performances by Dyandra, Colton Carlson, and Raquel Reigh to give the song the hype and raw enthusiasm needed to make “wavs” on Spectrum’s poolside “dance floor”.
The ultimate test for the song’s quality came from a surprising source: Anthony’s 5-year-old cousin Spiderman (aka Michael). Anthony brought him into the studio while babysitting to get real-time feedback. The team continued to revise and perfect the song until Spiderman was enchanted enough to dance along.
Overall, “The Toby Dance” is a collaborative and energetic music project that captures the essence of a care free summer. It’s no wonder that it’s bound to get people moving and grooving.
